The Parish First Communion and First Reconciliation Programme for 2012 has already started and is now closed to new applicants. The dates for First Communion are 19th/20th, 26th/27th May & 16th June 2012.
We have very high numbers of candidates wishing to make their First Communion and receive First Reconciliation and we have to apply the rules strictly. Parents will need to produce the child’s Baptism Certificate and attend the special Parents Evenings.
Please note that these Sacraments are usually received in the parish in which you reside. Permission is required from your own parish priest to receive them elsewhere. At St Joseph’s we would expect the family to be regularly attending our Church for six months before applying for First Communion and First Reconcilation for their child.
For First Communion and First Reconcilation in 2013 please apply during the Autumn Term to the Pastoral Assistant.
